Located in the northern city of Lampang, Khelang Nakorn School is a public secondary school serving approximately 1,900 students in grades 7-12. Applicants would be responsible for teaching English Language listening and speaking courses. Teachers will engage in about 20 hours of teaching each week, Monday through Friday. The academic year runs from June through March, with an extended break in October, and teachers would be expected to sign a 10-month contract with the school. Teachers get weekends off, but will be expected to participate in several English Camps during extended weekends or holidays throughout the year. 

Qualifications:

·      Bachelor’s degree in any major

·      Strong interpersonal and communication skills

·      Willingness and ability to work as part of a team

·      Ability to take the initiative and develop a creative curriculum

·      Adaptability

·      Student-teaching or tutoring experience helpful, but not required

·      A willingness to learn from and actively engage in Thai culture and language

·      An open mind and amiable personality

Compensation:

·      Monthly salary of 25,000 Baht (approx. 830 dollars a month)

Thailand enjoys a low cost of living. For example, an average meal costs around 35Baht. Anticipated daily expenses average between 200-300Baht.
